Channel Tunnel Rail Link and Ebbsfleet International Station Built

The construction of the Channel Tunnel rail link started, with the section connecting Ebbsfleet and London St Pancras opening in 2007 alongside the new Ebbsfleet International Station.
Original Planning Permission for Ebbsfleet Central Granted

Previous owners of the site secured planning permission for a mixed use development at Ebbsfleet Central. This included up to 3,200 homes and significant employment development.
EDC Acquire Ebbsfleet Central

Revisions to Ebbsfleet Central Proposals

Following Public Consultation EDC and their consultant team will review the feedback and make changes to the proposals. This will inform the final proposals which are submitted in the outline planning application.

Once the proposals for Ebbsfleet Central are finalised the outline planning application to the Planning Team at EDC.
A further consultation period will be held following submission.

Subject to obtaining outline planning permission, a series of more detailed applications will be prepared. These provide further detail on the proposals within the framework established at outline stage.
These are likely to include Site and Area Masterplans and Reserved Matters applications.
